Privatization in education

Every country in the world has its own education system. Their education system depends on according to their curriculum system. Curriculum is simply designed based on the nation, its natural things, historical values, cultural norms, and its political system and so on. Education plays the praiseworthily role in the development of the nation as well as in the personality enhancement of an individual. Simply to be said education is provided by the states to its people. But in these running days it is also provided by the Privates sectors. In context of Nepal, there are many private schools, colleges and universities. Privatization in education has enormously fascinated the need of the people concerned.
Mainly there are two types of academic institutions running in Nepal: Government aided and private institutions. Government aided institutions cover the entire areas of the kingdom whether it is a hilly or mountainous or terai, Region or a town or a village whereas private institutions mainly focus to the town. So such privates institutions are city centered institution, comparing to the government-aided institutions.
Private educational institutes are further divided into two categories; personal and institutional. personal institutions are for profit making and institutional are for providing services to the people. Nowadays it can be seen a rush of parents sending their children towards private schools and colleges. As of its result, private academic institutes are increasing rapidly.
Privatization in education offers a package of advantages like hostel facility, vehicle and transportation, day-scholar, monitoring, extra curricular activities, check and balance and so on. It is said that private institutions are for providing quality education. Private schools and colleges stop our money from going to foreign countries. Unless there are private academic institutions with their goodwill in a country, the country has to loose or spend more money for education which the citizens are getting it from the institutions aboard.
Nevertheless, privatization in education has its some demerits but we should ignore their contributions in education. More or less they provide quality education. Government should institutionalize them in a proper order. Bribery workers of the government office regarding educational sector should be punished. And private schools, colleges, and universities should not be commercialized in the name of privatization in education.
